More world records fell Monday as China’s Mia Jia extended the medal streak for the Chinese in the women’s 200m IM SM11 in a time of 2:42.12.
In the win, Jia bettered both the World and Paralympic records by more than four seconds.
Country-mate Cai Liwen earned silver in a time of 2:42.91, also under both of the previous World and Paralympic records.
Team USA’s Anastasia Pagonis earned her second medal of the games, securing the bronze medal in a time of 2:45.91 to set a new American record.
