Amandine Henry is back in the NWSL and ready to win her second NWSL Championship and Shield. The French midfielder signed with Angel City in the summer window to a three-year contract and was expected to join the LA-based squad after the World Cup.
Last week she arrived in LA after a late calf injury made her miss the World Cup with France after originally being named to the roster. This week she talked with The Equalizer about coming back to the NWSL, her goals with Angel City, and the World Cup.
“I’m coming to win another title with a new team because I won with Portland, and I want to do the same thing with Angel City,” Henry said of why she returned to the NWSL. “For me, the NWSL was the best experience of my life and my career and I wanted to enjoy the last challenge of my career with Angel City.”
