The 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup takes place from Aug. 31 to Sep. 22 in Colombia and features 50 NCAA student-athletes representing 14 countries on the biggest stage in youth women’s soccer. These athletes from 35 member schools will take break from their collegiate seasons to compete in the 11th edition of the event.
Florida State sends six Seminoles to the tournament, including four competing for USA. Notre Dame and UCLA have the next highest representation with three student-athletes competing in Colombia.
The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup happens every two years — and for the first time has expanded to a 24-team field. Spain won the most recent championship at Costa Rica 2022. USA and Brazil have the most titles with three.
