Alison Van Uytvanck enjoys pre-honeymoon with girlfriend Emilie Vermeiren

While Alison van Uytvanck is missing the ongoing French Open, she is making the most of her time by enjoying a vacation with her girlfriend Emilie Vermeiren. The Belgian WTA star took to Instagram to share photos from what she described as a pre-honeymoon, allowing her to fully recharge before getting back to practice.

It was during last year’s Roland Garros that Alison and Emilie took a selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower, making their relationship Instagram official. This public announcement came several months after Alison ended her long-term relationship with fellow WTA player Greet Minnen, to whom she had been engaged since December 2020.

This year, unfortunately, Alison is unable to participate in the French Open due to a double hernia that has been causing her significant problems. Regrettably, she will also miss the next two Grand Slam tournaments. The Upper Austria Ladies Linz in February was her last tournament appearance.

Nonetheless, Alison is utilizing this free time to enjoy a seaside vacation. Sharing photos from her getaway, the 29-year-old wrote, “It might not have been Roland Garros, but I really enjoyed my pre-honeymoon.
