French tennis player Alexandre Muller received some pretty disgusting messages and horrific abuse following his Bastad first-round exit as an angry bettor sent him a picture of a gun and bullets, all while wishing him death and cancer.
On Tuesday, world No. 103 Muller kicked off his campaign at an ATP 250 tournament in Bastad. And unfortunately for the 27-year-old Frenchman, his Bastad debut was short-lived after he suffered a very tight 5-7 5-7 loss to 160th-ranked qualifier Denis Yevseyev.
But for Muller, losing in the Bastad first round wasn’t the only negative thing that happened since there was also one very scary and disturbing message that was left for him to read in his Instagram DM.
“(Expletive), you’re dead. You’re going to die… You’re dead, you (expletive)… These dead (expletive). I hope your whole family dies of cancer,” the heckler wrote to Muller.
