A’ja Wilson is staying in Vegas. The two-time WNBA MVP has signed a two-year contract extension, the Aces announced Friday. Here’s what you need to know:
- The five-time All-Star is averaging 19.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists this season.
- Wilson made an immediate impact after being selected first in 2018, earning the Rookie of the Year award that season, and has since amassed an impressive collection of accolades. She was named Defensive Player of the Year last season, won gold with Team USA at the 2020 Olympics and scored her 3,000th point on June 8.
- In the Aces’ run to their first title last season, Wilson averaged 20.3 points and 10.4 rebounds over 10 games.
