Las Vegas Aces guard Chelsea Gray and center Kiah Stokes are out for Game 4 of the WNBA Finals against the New York Liberty with foot injuries, Aces coach Becky Hammon announced Tuesday. Here’s what you need to know:
- Gray exited Sunday’s Game 3 loss in the fourth quarter with the injury, and said Tuesday that she is waiting until the team gets back to Las Vegas to make a decision on whether she would return for a potential Game 5.
- “As a competitor, obviously I want to play,” Gray said. “You get to the finals and you don’t get this time back. So it sucks in that way.”
- Gray averaged 15.3 points and 7.3 assists a game this season while Stokes grabbed 5.9 rebounds a contest. It’s unclear when Stokes suffered her injury.
- The Aces lead the Liberty 2-1 in the series. New York hosts Game 4 on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.
