Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka has overtaken Iga Swiatek in the rankings and become the new WTA number one in the world. At the US Open you then won Coco Gauff and in the women’s tournament you broke the balance upwards with several very young and very high quality players.

Former tennis player Alex Corretja, in an interview with Eurosport, talked in particular about the duopoly at the top featuring Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka.
Speaking about the two, Corretja said: “Iga Swiatek is a real fighter, it doesn’t matter whether she is number one or number two in the world. She always wants to improve, try new things and has a playing style that is open to change.
