The start lists for the 2024 NCAA Division I indoor track and field championships have been announced. Here’s a look at heats you don’t want to miss when action kicks off on the track on Day 2, March 8.
Men’s mile heat 1
2024 SEC champion Parvej Khan (Florida), 2024 Big Ten champion Adam Spencer (Wisconsin), 2023 and 2022 SEC Champion Anass Essayi (South Carolina) and Washington standout miler Joe Waskom are all in heat one of the men’s mile. Any of these four could push the pace of the mile to get the little qs super fast with one heat remaining.

Men’s 60 meters heat 1
Heat 1 of the men’s 60 meters could be a Big 12 showcase, with five sprinters hailing from the conference in the heat. Yet, Big Ten champion Cheickna Traore of Penn State is also in the heat. With only the top two finishers guaranteed a spot in the final, this heat is one to watch.
