The NCAA is holding its annual regionals selection show today at 12 p.m. ET where it will officially announce the team and individual qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA national championships. For the first time ever, the selection show will be broadcast on national television via ESPNU, giving fans an official and in-depth look at the road to nationals.
As in previous years, regionals will feature four sites and span three days of competition, bringing together the nation’s top teams and gymnasts as they fight for a spot at nationals.
The 16 seeded teams are distributed across the four regional sites based on national rankings, while the remaining 16 unseeded teams are placed geographically to round out the fields. In addition, individual qualifiers are assigned to regional sites based on location and balance.
2025 Regionals Format & Schedule
The four regionals will again be staggered, with two sites competing on Wednesday/Thursday/Saturday and the other two on Thursday/Friday/Sunday to allow for maximum national coverage. Regionals will take place from Wednesday, April 2 to Sunday, April 6.
- Play-in meets between two teams will kick things off at each site on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, with winners advancing to round two.
