Simone Biles can add to her greatest-of-all-time résumé on Thursday when she competes in the women’s gymnastics all-around final of the 2024 Paris Olympics at Bercy Arena. The 27-year-old Biles is already is the most decorated American gymnast of all time in the Olympics with eight medals, including five golds. She also has earned 30 medals at the world championships, including 23 gold medals. On Tuesday she led the United States to gold in the team competition, the team’s third gold in the last four Olympics.
Biles will enter the final as the decisive favorite. Fellow American Suni Lee, who’s the reigning all-around Olympic champion, and Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade also are gold medal contenders.
