2024 Olympics medal count: Tracker for how many gold, silver, bronze medals USA, nations are winning in Paris

Day 9 of the 2024 Paris Olympics has once again started with Team USA’s dominance at the podium. Gymnast Suni Lee started things off by earning bronze in the uneven bars final — her third medal in these Summer Games — with a score of 14.800, beating Algeria’s Kaylia Neymour (15.700) and China’s Qiyuan Qiu (15.500). Then, Austen Jewell Smith claimed bronze in the women’s skeet shooting final — the first Olympic medal for the Texas native — earning a spot on the podium after finishing tenth in the event at the Tokyo Games.

Following the two bronzes, it was all about the gold, and some historic performances at that. Cyclist Kristen Faulkner won the women’s road race for Team USA, capturing the Americans first gold in the event in 40 years. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler also claimed gold in golf, becoming the first top-ranked player to win gold in the Olympics and doing so with a course-record-tying score of 62.
