2023 WNBA playoffs: New York Liberty vs. Connecticut Sun semifinals preview schedule, how to watch, prediction

The New York Liberty lost Game 1 of the semifinals at home, but responded with three consecutive wins over the Connecticut Sun to advance to the WNBA Finals for the first time since 2002. There, they’ll face the defending champion Las Vegas Aces in a long-awaited showdown. 

New York had to really work for their place in the Finals, but showed versus the Sun that they not only have enough talent, but enough grit. In yet another highly physical contest, they outlasted the Sun in Game 4 on Sunday, 87-84, to take the series, 3-1. Jonquel Jones led the way, finishing with 25 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks.

Jonquel Jones should be able to dominate the paint in this series, just like she did in the first round against the Washington Mystics when she put up 19 points, 13.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game on 61.9% shooting.
