Alex Loera traded to Bay FC; Kansas City receives Expansion Draft protection: Alex Loera is returning to the Bay area. The Santa Clara University alum has been traded to Bay FC, making her the first player on the new team’s roster. In return, the Kansas City Current have acquired $175,000 in allocation money and are protected from Bay Area picking any of their players in the upcoming 2023 Expansion Draft. — Rachael Kriger
