Backstory
Korda, 22, made his first Grand Slam quarterfinal at this year’s Australian Open. The Bradenton, Fla., native advanced to the quarterfinal after defeating 2022 Australian Open finalist Daniil Medvedev in the third round and No. 10 seed Hubert Hurkacz in five sets during the Round of 16.
Korda entered the Australian Open ranked No. 25 in the world. He has one ATP Tour title, winning the 2021 Emilia-Romagna Open.
