2023-24 Women’s Basketball Season Preview

GAMBIER, Ohio — Heading into head coach Mary Corbett‘s second season at the helm for the Owls, the 2023-24 Kenyon College women’s basketball team returns all but one player as the group looks to continue to grow and improve. Last year’s young Owls team battled throughout the season and led the eventual North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Tournament champions for a quarter before bowing out in the quarterfinal. This year’s squad is looking to take that experience and success into this season and continue to build upon it.

2022-23 Review:

  • 8-18 overall record, including 5-8 at home and 3-10 on the road
  • Finished sixth in the NCAC standings with a 4-10 conference record, earning the Owls a spot in the NCAC Tournament, where they fell in the quarterfinal

NCAC Preseason Poll:
Lining up with the 2022-23 conference standings, this year’s Owls squad was tabbed to finish sixth in the eight-team standings, tallying 20 points in the 2023-24 NCAC preseason coaches’ poll released last week.
